Shall we dance? Yes, you certainly will! Aberdeen’s Phoenix Theatre, in conjunction with the children of Phoenix
Youth Theatre, present the stunning and spectacular musical “The King and I”.
For over 60 years this Rodgers and Hammerstein classic has captivated millions with its delightful story of Anna
Leonowens who is brought to the court of Siam as tutor to the King’s many children. Memorable songs abound,
including ‘Whistle a Happy Tune’, ‘Getting to Know You’, and, most famously, ‘Shall We Dance?’ The show is a
dazzling musical celebration and something rather extraordinary – it is a story of love and joy set to one of the most
glorious, beautiful and unforgettable scores ever written!
This sensational and sumptuous production of “The King and I” will thoroughly entertain and enthral the entire
family.
We are pleased to announce that through Senior Assessor Colin Campbell, who will be treading the boards in the production, we have secured 60 tickets for Burgesses, partners and guests on Saturday 28th January at 7.30 pm in the Dress Circle. Cost of tickets will be £28 per person.
